Bath Boards & Seats
Bath Boards::
These boards are placed across the bath and secured in place. The slatted design allows drainage. Bath boards are available in many different sizes and fit most modern baths. Some boards are available with an attached handle. This can be useful for extra support if a person is having difficulties.
Bath Seats::
These seats are placed into the bath and may also have a slatted design. Bath seats are available in a number of different width and heights. They can sometimes be more popular than bath boards as they allow the user to be in the bath and can sometimes be more secure.
Shower Seats, Stools & Chairs
These are seats or stools that are specially designed for the shower. There are two main types , a freestanding shower seat or a more secure wall mounted shower seat. Shower chairs and seats can be a great mobility aid for elderly people or anyone with mobility problems.
Bath Lifts
These are designed for people who find it difficult to bend or need extra assistance when bathing. The bath lifts are designed to lower the user into the bath and back up again. Most bath lifts are powered by a rechargable battery and operate using a remote control. All battery operated bathlifts are safe to use in the bath. The mechanics are water tight and it runs a low DC voltage. The battery is removed for charging.
